As many of you guys know ive been tossing around the idea of building a functional ram-air hood. Blackwood did a couple photoshops for me so i need some opinions.

This is just for the top design. after i choose this i have a LONG build ahead of me lol. This will be a functional hood and if there is much interest in hoods like these for the 04+ i will hopefully be building and selling if i can keep the prices down enough.

i voted a, but either would be cool as there have not been many variants on the 04+ cars.

Hey there,

I would do "A", but I would not do the "fins" that come off the scoops.

But that is just my opinion! My car is plain as sh!t :)

Not a fan of B doesn't look right considering the way our front ends look. A would be a great idea but looks to much like Inferno for me.

i didnt vote cause honestly, the t/a stlye looks like shit on anything other than a trans am.

and the first hood looks like an sd hood had sex w/ an f1 which somehow gave birth to a defective 04+ hood

If i HAD to choose, i would go with #1 but both look kind of funny sitting on our body style...i dont even like the inferno hood on our body. It just looks out of place to me. But #1 looks the least out of place...if that makes sense lol

I would prefer A, but neither are good. Neither flow with the lines of the car, and that's a big deal.

Im not really a fan of either, option b only really works on the trans am. The first is a bit odd on our body style. Dont mean to rain on your parade :)

There is a picture floating around that kind of looks like the hoods that come on the G8's, I think its called the SE hood, Ive only seen one and it was on an orange 04 style gp, but it looked incredible, not as obnoxious as the inferno hood sometimes looks. It was really smooth, Ill do some searching and if I can find it Ill post it up for you

Yeah I really liked that hood and would definitley buy it if I could, this is the best thing I could find to show the stlye it was, hope this helps, i think this flows better. If your gonna fabricate it yourself maybe you could make that happen

the one mike posted is different than flips. Look at the openings. They are flared on mikes picture, and not on flips hood

Yeah the Hood I posted isn't the exact Hood, that's one from a grand am, I didn't know anyone had the one from flip so that was just the style I think would look good

yea that one on that gp costs over $1000 if i can find one. plus it really doesnt have a very aggressive look imo. ive never seen one in person but its price tag is a little to heavy for me
