So after seing everyones headlights in the other thread i have figured out what i want to do with mine. The plan is to put angel eyes around the high beam bulbs. I plan on using amber LED's and making the rings myself using a link i found. I nee your guys help who have modified headlights though, because when it comes to mounting them i am lost. Id like the mounting to look somewhat professional even though my headlights will be smoked in a couple months. Lemme know what you come up with

So your sticking with regular bulbs for your high beams and not going with projectors? Seems like a cool idea but the angel eyes may cut off some of your light output. Are you going to heat up those acrylic window blind sticks to make the angel eyes?

Kaleb, you looking for help mounting the angel eyes or the projectors?

Projectors bolt to the back of your housings,,,so you need long threaded screws or bolts and be able to drill through to mount them... Make sure you use thread lock so that the projectors dont come loose when you have everything buttoned back up... Happened to me... :(

Yes i will be using the window sticks for the rings. I have HID low beams in the mail, and rarely use my high beams so im not too worried about that. Ill be ordering the LED's and resistors from superbrightleds.com as they are a vendor on a local forum. I will pick up the Window sticks sometime pretty soon, and that sould be everything i need to buy besides mounting materials.

And gary im not doing projectors on this build. But there is a possibility later on down the road

When calculating for resistor sizes, make sure you account for the car going up to like 15.5 volts or so... The first time I did my Lights I only accounted for around 14 volts and then a few weeks later the cars voltage must have spiked and burnt out a few LED's...

Okay Thanks for the tip. Im getting pretty good with all that stuff now after a semester of electrical circuits. Do you think its possible to just glue the light rings to the housing, or will i need some sort of brackets?

Probably best to do some type of bracket. You never know how good glue or silicone will hold up to the temperature changes in the housings. What kind of a program are you taking that deals with electrical circuits? Just curious since I'm just finishing off my 3rd semester of electrical engineering technology.

Ill start looking for some way to make brackets. I think i might have an idea of how to make it, but its hard to explain. What i need is some material that wont block the light from the high beam off, but also wont reflect/carry the light from the angel eye.

Im goin to school for powerline technician right now, and might go into sub station next year. I havent quite decided yet.

Thats not too bad of a price, but they only come in white. Im looking to do amber/orange so it matches the park lights.
