Has anyone had a problem getting the inferno hood to line up and sit right on their car? I just got mine and started to test fit and on the nose of the hood on the drivers side it is sitting higher then the passenger side. The hood sits just above the driver side fender so its noticeable from the side view. The bump stops are as low as they can go and there is no CAI that is in the way. I've taken the cross bars that are bolted on across the engine (unsure what they are called) off to see if they are the problem and does not help at all. I've pulled the head lights off to get a better look and cannot find anything. PFYC.com has told me to take the drivers side hood strut off completely and switch it to the passenger side of the hood but I would have to drill 2 screw holes because there are none on that side. Anyone have any solutions are had problems like this? Any help would be appreciated!

heres a idea . .
not trying to call you out or anything. just trying to help!
did it line up good before with the stock hood?
if not . . do you no if your car has ever been in a wreck? sometimes fenders arent replaced with correct oem parts they are replaced with cheap taiwan and jap fenders and hoods, maybe the hood was adjusted to line up good with that fender? idk just trying to throw stuff out there. i new that was it on a truck i owned a while ago. come to find out the hood and fender were the cheap 3rd party parts

when i got the car there was something in the carfax about the front bumper being replaced, but the dealer said it was patched up after someone backed their trucks hitch through the bumper. other then that nothing that i know of, and it lined up perfectly. i'm taking it to the body shop monday to see if they can find a way to fix it and then hopefully get it painted. I know your trying to help and i don't take any offense to what you said, i'd probably ask the same thing.

I have the same problem with my hood too, but it's not that noticable since it's black.

It's a common issue... There's nothing wrong with your car. I have heard some people have to damage the hood to repair to sit properly. The joys of going aftermarket.......

i just tried taking both hood struts off but it still sits the same. im thinking if all else fails the body shop can build up under the hood in the corner and sand the top down a bit to get it to look right but thats if all else fails. however, i think i found the reason it is not closing all the way. the bolt in the picture looks to be hitting the hood hing and chipping the paint off the hing. not sure if it would be such a big problem but my brother and dad say that there is no reason for it to be in the way.

The hood is fiberglass... You're going to have fitment issues no matter what.

Do you have the hood strut on? Minwe will sit a little higher on driver side if I have the strut on. So I just leave it off and it sits pretty good.

I just received the Inferno Appearance Package, and tried to test fit the hood, it sits high on the driver side and does not close all the way; it will not latch so anyone walking by can open it if they wanted to get under the hood. If I read correctly, take the strut off and it might work, shim a fender up, or I have to take it to a body shop so they can bend it? Will this melting/bending affect the hood negatively if it is the Carbon Fiber hood?
