So I dont know about you guys/gals, but most of the car shows arround here are oriented to "Classics" you know... 57 chevys, vintage mustangs, muscle cars, hot rods etc etc...

So a car like a modded 04 GTP gets almost zero respect... And after awhile you kinda sorta get used to it (my dad is part of that generation, and doesnt take it seriously either)..

So it was really really nice to go to a show more oriented to tuning and newer rides... Yes, there were a ton of JDMs there, but there were also late model Mopars, GMs, and some fords there too.

Im glad I took my friend Jay's advice and attended... (he is an ex GP owner who has since moved on to a 2005 Audi S4 M6)...

I know how you feel about people being biased towards GTP's! I did get some of that, but in my hometown majority ended up voting for me for GM Best of Show. These images below are of my car back in the "good ole days", now the car has a messed up lip, paint chips, and is non-show worthy (imo) anymore. I'd actually debate if it was ever actually show worthy. So many people (like Palsut) and Regenisis pamper their cars like crazy, and those are the people that should go to these shows and win trophies. I think I won the best of show trophy because of the awe factor that a grand prix could have a hood, lip and spoiler and look different.









Display I put in trunk @ shows, not anymore, because my car is not worth to show anymore.

Regenesis is a work in progress as funds permit and my daily driver... So yeah there are things on the wish list like tint, flipped tails, more engine detailing, power mods, SE Rear end etc etc... As well as a few chips/scratches/marks/touchups... ahh the life of a fussy car owner... LOL

If someone actually buys the GTA this summer, Im going to buy a cheap winter beater (like an older Z24) and park her for the duration of the crummy weather...

And speaking of weather, here in southern Ontario its hot and muggy as hell, so yeah peeps walk arround shirtless.... Was hoping for some bikini hunnys (I geuss Fast and the Furious is a but exaggerated) but no luck... Maybe the next car show this weekend??

I like the old cav's too the 3.1/5-speed combo has decent power and still 28mpg!! If i run across a lumina z34 im grabbin it for sure, love the look of those cars and can pick them up fairly cheap if you get lucky.

Ah yes the 91 or so vintage... Those are scarce around here now.
