Should I tint these fine ass tail lights or should I leave them the way they are. I hated, HATED the way the stock tail lights looked, so I had those tinted. I'm seriously undecided if I should do these or not. They certainly don't look as bad as the stockers, but I don't know if I like having that much red on the back of the car.

I say tint them lightly.

very very light tint. just enough to notice, not enough to affect visibility. anything over that will be too dark of a color on your car.

Turbo Dreams - Transmission Nightmares

When I had FLIP do my stockers he did a medium tint. Which never affected visibility but made them look almost black, but I could never replicate what he does. Still trying to figure out what method I want to use to tint them.

Flip tinted mine lightly and they are very translucent.

Here's a pic of my lightly tinted tails.

You can easily see inside it during the day.



This is medium tint and you can't see through it at all.

They are too black and didn't look good on my car.

They did look great on a black G8 though so it depends on the color of your car.



Here's a side by side comparison.

As you can see there's a big difference between the light and medium tint.

Just an update. I bought some rustoleum lens tint. Put 2 coats on. Looks pretty dark but I tried them out real quick and they are still PLENTY bright. Even during the day. I'll get pics tomorrow.
