I think that looks a little weird cause the lip isnt flush all the way around, like the little parts that stick out look kinda funny

I don't really like it, however, just do the entire wheel:D Stuff holds up well.

i think you could do it, just takes patients. Plastidip is pretty forgiving. I say do what i did...spray the whole wheel solid, rock if for a couple weeks and then when you want a change take a razor and set aside some time and start peeling. Maybe start with just the lip, see if you like that and give it a week or two then maybe try and tackle the rest of the wheel except for the star like your pic above...whats there to loose? $10 bucks and a couple hours? i think its worth a shot!! have at it and post pics!!

I did this a few years ago to my winter wheels, although I didn't use Plasti-Dip. I thought it came out pretty good, hadn't seen anyone do it in this style before.

That actually looks a lot better than I thought it would, I have those same wheels but chrome, I might give it a try

Thanks everyone! I liked it for a few years, but last fall I painted them back to stock silver. They look pretty bad now haha. I really want to find some cheap stock wheels for my winter setup, seems everyone on Craigslist thinks there stock wheels are made of gold haha.

I actually made a PSD file showing exactly what you're showing, because I was going to do the SAME thing, then figured out it would turn out like crap full blown black. The dark gray works pretty well though.

I just painted the whole thing black, and it actually works pretty well with the theme of my car. : p
