With the gian GXP turnsignals they are pretty ugly with the yellow tint inside them from the bulbs.

Are these worth 20bucks a piece? Will they fit?

The silver bulbs won't be as bright as the stock bulbs, and you really have no way of knowing how bright they'll be until you get them installed. I've tried some that were just regular amber bulbs coated with silver paint and had so little output that they were effectively worthless. On the other hand, I've also had some from Stealth Auto that, while noticeably dimmer than stock, were still easily visible in bright daylight. If you do get these, the 3457 will be brighter than the 3157.

Another option is the Sylvania Silverstar/Osram Diadem turn signals (available at most auto parts stores). They're a silvery-blue color when off, and bright amber when on. They're brighter than the stock bulbs, but the blue tint does show up when they're off, especially under bright sunlight.

switchbacks, clear led's off and white while on as running light, and bright amber when flashing. not cheap but they work well and should last for some time

That's what I have right now on the GF's car. They look really nice when off and are crazy bright when they are on. Leds are always another good option though as others have mentioned.

I've had a set of the "silvered" turn signals for the front. While I like how they look while off (no "egg-yolk," as they call it, while off) and while on I did not notice if they were any dimmer than the stock lamps.

Really, the only complaint I have against the silvered (I purchased my set through PFYC.com) is that after a few years the glass housing of the lamp its self was starting to actually pull away from the plastic base. This made me start to wonder if I was going to be able to pull the lamp out of the socket without leaving the plastic base behind (I was able to pull the whole lamp out however once I did get it out I put the stock lamps back in with red gel gaps on 'em).

If your considering the Sylania Silverstar bulbs heres mine before and after.
The second pic was taken with my cell and it picked up alot of the blue and they do not look that blue all the time and they 100% legal in all 50 states so no harrasment from the cops on them. I do not have a good picture of them lit up but they have a very nice clean amber at night time. No dim amber or crappy looking color.

I just made a thread about this over on ClubGP in the 97-03 appearance forum, was given a link to these

http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-3157-Stealth-Chr ... 19bf0bde59

Didn't know about the Silverstars ..but their probably more expensive than what I paid for those.

Only sucky part is that their being shipped from Taiwan, so probably a week or more till I get them. Anyone have any pictures of these bulbs during the day with the bulbs turned off?

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN1021/04EXT/Ste ... Bulbs.html - it's a good ballpark of what to expect. While on, the bulb looks like any other comparable non-silvered bulb; it's while the light is off that you will notice any difference (while on it's fairly indistinguishable between a bulb that isn't silvered).

Kinda sucks though..I was aiming for the blueish color..guess these will do till I can afford some Silverstars ..planned on buying some of those for the headlights.
