I have been toying with the idea of putting amber lights in the fog lights. I dont know if I should get different bulbs or get amber HID's. I dont have HID head lights.
1.)Can amber fog lights improve visibility in snow/fog at all?
2.)I have heard that HID's in factory fog light housings is a bad idea because they melt the housings, is this true? If so, what housings do I need to get?
3.)I have heard DDM is a good source for HID's. But what kit do I need to get?
4.)Can anyone with amber fogs(HID's and/or just the bulbs to compair the differnce) post pics please?
Thanks for any feedback.

Hid bulbs melting housings is a myth. It comes from people running cheaper "hid look" bulbs.

A couple of us have overlayed our lenses with amber tint film... That's it not big secret.

Throw more light... Nope, but hid bulbs will help for that. Changes the colour band is all so theory is better for foggy conditions.

Ddm gets good reviews here.

I was wondering if the amber halogen bulbs are worth getting, or if I should just get the amber HID's? I dont know if it matters but I have a 1999 GP GTP. So if I do decide to get HID's, I'll be safe with the 35w kit correct? Mr.angryGTP, you mentioned you had a amber overlay on you fogs, do you have amber bulbs too or just plain white?

On a side note, I really like your car Mr.angryGTP. It looks very clean and bada$$. I like the front lip, the strips on the fenders, and the stance of your car. I just wanted to say I like your car. Also, in your youtube video I saw a box/heat shield for your air filter. Did you make that or is a product of K&N or something? If you made it, how did you do it and what did you use?
