So, I finally got down to the end of what exactly was done to my rims.
So for all you that are interested....

They were done by a place called Hubcap Heaven here in Salt Lake City, Utah.

What they did was they took the OEM rims that came with the car and they stripped off all of the silver-greyish paint that GM coated the rims with, then slightly machined down the whole rim (as in, they took off about the thickness of a piece of paper), they sanded and buffed the rims to make them shine and made them smooth, then applied several coats of black metallic rim paint then applied a clear coat to the entire rim.

They charge 125$ per rim to have it done....Which isnt bad at all. really.
Here is their phone number... 1-801-972-6000
(Heres what it looks like again)

And that is most likely why the centre caps keep coming off.

That explains why the center caps are coming off. That's a decent price, they charged me $100 a rim to do mine.

The center caps are coming off because the little clips that hold them in are shearing off, and when enough of them break, they fall off....

(And i think its because of the cheap plastic used to make them)

Either way, those rims look AWESOME!!!

That reminds me, I gotta find some place here to fix/paint or powder coat my rims.

You can have your rims shipped to this place, they mainly do restoration on rims, they can restore rims from old cars too.

Ive herd that they can also take dented and bent rims and redo them to make them smooth.....
From what ive seen, they do EXCELLENT work! I will get more info in a few hours when i get my car back from them, i will also post pics of my newly redone rims.

(They had to get re clear coated because the place has since switched to a better product for that, and mine was starting to chip off.)

They also cover the rims for the length or duration of the cars warranty too.
