You don't want blue, the cops will hassle you. Get the white ones which have a slight blue tint to them.

You should be able to connect them to the blinker, and they have adhesive on the back to hold them in place on the bottom of the headlights. You have to make sure the ones at Autozone are side illuminating, if they're top illuminating they won't work well. In other words when you're holding the strip flat between your fingers, the LED's should shine out from the side.

AutoZone DOES have the side illuminating and they are being marketed as exterior lights for around the headlights.

IIRC there are white or amber.

My question is: Will hooking them up to the blinker cause a problem with blink rate or overloading the module?

thank you T
and good call.
for the marker/blinkers is the cover on it amber, or is it just an amber bulb. if its just the bulb can you get other bulbs for it.

i guess the best way to put this would be. whats the best and cheapest way to make my blinkers badass.....

I don't see it being a problem, if it is then you can always connect them to the running lights or the ignition like I did. Autozone must have just started carrying the side illuminating strips, they only had the other ones when I was there about a month ago.

hook the 12v+ to any source and the ground to the blinker positive, when the blinker is off it acts as a ground, and when it blinks it will turn the strip off, so thus you will have wig wag blinkers

When the LED strip receives 2 positive charges it won't light up, but I don't know if the uncharged positive wire can act as a ground to make them light up.

Nick if I get ambitious I'll try that with a voltage tester, then if it doesn't work I won't have to change the wires back.

I have heated garage but I'm not firing up the furnace to check 2 wires. If I get a bracket order I'll start the furnace and scope out the wires.

u dont need the heat in the garage... just put it in, close the door, and you'll be fine... I am considering installing mine with the HIDs (that are coming in tomorrow) the day after Christmas when I throw a set on my brother's wife's G6

Well that's easy for you to say, this old man's hands get cold from lack-of-circulation-itis.

Nick that's why I have heated garage, so I don't have to wear gloves to work on my car and make parts.
