Haha it's alright, but are you glad you went with the 5k and not the 6k? And did they install it well?

That looks nice! Just curious....how come everyone likes the whiter light? No one on here seems to like more blue like 8,000k or 10,000k. Just curious cause i tend to favor more blue.

looks good...

and most people prefer 5-6000k for the best light output, the higher and more color you get, the more useless they are...

look out for condensation in the lenses, just in case he didnt seal the capsules properly

The kid that installed mine, he has 30K in his. (i verified that too, and they are) And, that is BEYOND usless....I told him he was better off with a pair of 10$ Halogens from wally world.

And he didnt reinstall those dust covers on the back of the headlamps. Thats quite irritating. Im goin do drill a hole big enough in them to fit the bulb through plus some grommit or something to seal it.

(Granted i probably dont have to worry about moisture here. lol)

I dont think its rained here in like the last 5-6 months from what ive been told.

The HID's look good, I have 5000K in mine too. Use a 1" spade drill (for wood) to drill the hole in the dust cover, it makes a nice clean hole so the grommet fits tight.

4300K is the brightest (puts out the most lumens) for HID kits. It's the color temperature found for OEM HIDs in most vehicles. I used to have a 4300K in my last car and currently have 5000K and the difference is actually very noticable. 8000K and up is just for show and stupid if you actually want to put light on the road. Plus who the hell likes purple headlights??? No, honestly.

^^^ i have a pair of 8000k i got for kicks when my 5000k burned and its the same color on the road

just looks bluer every where else

and 4300k is the brightest however the color can change from yellow to blue depending on the quality of the glass low quality and it will look yellow, high quality it will look blue

it's interesting you bring that up because i've noticed color differences from different companies who all advertise the same kevlin rating. It really does boil down to the quality of the bulb, plus if you have a projector or not. Projectors will always make bulbs look more blue than they actually are from the cutoff on the top. That's why audi's/MB/bmw/lexus and so on, will look like they have much more blue headlights even though it's the 4300K temp.

alot of ram guys have hid's and about 20% choose 4300k and you can see the difference in them like there is no tomorrow. that's why i went with 5000k so just in case i choose a crappy quality everything it would look the same no matter who it came from

i have the 10000k and to be honest i love them the difference in light output is not great enough for me to want a lower k rating. if i didn't have HID i would def. never go that high..but i figured what the hell might as well give it an interesting look right?
