I'm workin in Vegas right now 10 days on 5 days off. You guys will have to get ahold of me to see if I'm in town but I'm down for a cruise. If not we'll have to plan on another time.

Looking sharp indeed! I found a set of wheels similar to yours in 19's on Ebay, they look pretty sweet.

I used the Meguires Claybar kit thing....Then just washed it real good before hand....And dried it with one of those absorber things....

Those rims are not a bad deal! You should get them don!

Yeah I really like those wheels, too bad 19" tires are so expensive. If I could get them in 18's I think I'd do it.

Wow -- what a beautiful car.

You've inspired me to consider that treatment on my V6 rims...

Sorry, I'm new here, but would like to inquire as to the background on the painted N87 rims; how much $$ ; tips and tricks; recommendations; etc ?
Is there another post somewhere on here where you detailed the before-and-after or steps? Did you have a professional paint shop do it?

PLEASE DO TELL!!

Hey Zep, I'm glad to see you joined the club! His wheels were painted when he bought the car, so I don't think he knows any details about them.

I actually called the dealer the other day and they connected me to the shop that did my wheels and they said that it would cost anywhere from 40 to 100 per wheel depending on what exactly you want done. (mine were like 52$ per wheel he told me)

And all they did was got some of the Panther Black Metallic paint from GM and they put it through this process where it made it more resistave kinda like powdercoating is, then they just applied some sort of weather resistive clear coat.

(It isnt rock proof though. I noticed the other day that the clear coat is chipping off one of the silver spokes of one of my rims....AND i noticed that it started from the impact of a small rock from the shitty roads here in Yuma)

So i need to figure out if thats really a serious problem or not or see if i can somehow get it fixed.
