Its about time... I have had these sitting here for a while, I even installed a set of both in my Brother's wife's G6...

Here it is, gotta wash/detail her and get some better pictures... these should be a decent resolution taking with my D5000, but photobucket probly downsized them... I meant to take more pics but my hands were pretty dirty...

Looks great Nick! Are you going to do anything with the foglights or just leave them? I've been thinking about getting the LED foglight bulbs at Autolumination for $50 a pair. I've seen some pics and they match the HID headlights nicely.

I'm not sure yet, but I haven't been using them... I'm debating the HIDs from ddm, 25W. I have to look into it a little more to make sure they wont fk up anything. I am also debating 3000k for practicality, or matching the color...

I also have to wait before I can do anything else, just moved into the house, now I definitely have to tighten spending...

I'm worried about the HID's melting the foglight housings, that's why I'm thinking about doing the LED bulbs because they're safe. Plus they are easier to install than HID's sice there's no ballasts to mount.

I knew I read somewhere that they were melting the housings... crazy shit, they say they're supposed to be 'cooler' than stockers...

Do you have to remove the bumper to replace a bad ballast? I just mounted mine to the inner steel fender.

Yes sir, but then again, my mitts are too big to even just change a bulb without removing...

They say the standard 35w ones are fine for fogs, but 55w can melt smaller housings.

The 25w HID's can melt the foglight housings in the G8. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, but I'm not taking that chance. A G8 owner bought some 4" metal foglight housings on Ebay and they fit perfect, but he had to make some custom mounting brackets. With those you could put any kind of bulbs in them without worring about them melting. Hmmm, I think I might have developed a new product, making and selling foglight mounting brackets for the G8....

Man not to change the subject but I just realized my car doesn't have a dipstick for the transmission fluid. This is BS! FIRED

You need to have the motor running while it's on a lift and remove a threaded plug to check the fluid level. I just ask the dealer to check it and they do it for free.

Ah so there's a plug on the tranny that you need to check it. What a stupid design.

The trans is a sealed system and maintenance free, so supposedly there's no need to check the fluid level or add fluid.
