I went to junk yard this morning. I saw this SE with steel rims. They are 15 size so is that good? Or it need 16 size for better driving? They cost 7 buck each for steel wheels. I figure not bad than $125 for silver crosslace on my local craiglist. I'm looking for snow tires on my DD car. I have nice DD shiny torque star so why not get piece of shit wheels on winter season lol

also they have 3 silver torque stars with heavy brake dust. Pretty bad but they cost 15 buck each.

As long as you have stock sized front brakes(which I'm pretty sure you do on your DD but I can't remember) you'd be fine with the 15's. Tire for them would probably be cheaper than 16's as well.

Yes, I have stock brake on my DD. I don't need upgrade. Just for my show car only. I saw 15" tires from tirerack. Wow cheap as hell. Why not. All rims for 28 buck. Not bad. Not sure if they add tires as value. I will tell them they are shit just like I told another junk yard company for Austin's gold crosslace wheels. He is coming this weekend. GPONA party at my apt this weekend. Bring Jacyln with you.

You'll be fine with 15's. My 2000 GP had 15" steel wheels and I put on Goodyear Assurance Triple Treads and add that to the narrow 205 width tire she had, she handled on rails in the snow.

Whatever you do, don't put the ugly ass hub caps on. Just rock the black steel look.

15's should be fine

i actualy find a taller side wall is better durring the winter helps absorbe a lot of the bumps in the rouad and if you have them slightly under inflated can get better grip (but slightly i mean 5psi under what you normaly run)

Okay, I wasn't sure how low car is with 15" size tires for risky to get stuck than 16" size. Look like I'm getting them. There are ton of SE with black steele wheels so I don't have any problem to find them.

I have a chrome locking nuts. Maybe it will scared some people for thinking it is police wheels? No I won't put hub cap. I learned my lesson from my 1st car. Well let say "monkey" stole my fake chome from my 1st car 1990 Chevy Corisca.

With 15" wheels the taller tire makes up for the smaller rim and the overall ride height should be nearly identical to the 16" models.

With my old 2000 which was black 4 door with the steel wheels I had people thinking it was undercover cop car all the time. I actually liked the look and never considered putting different wheels on it. I tossed the hubcaps when I was ran off the highway and bounced off a curb at 70. Destroyed both passenger side hub caps with no damage to the tire or wheel.
