And man is my car SLOW!!! Fastest pass in 100* heat was 15.2 at 89mph, .316 R/T and 2.2 60ft.

It was all day test & tune at Beaver Springs Dragway. I kept heating up in the staging lane. Was icing the S/C down between runs but it wasnt enough. Coolest I was all day entering the staging lanes was about 140*.....

Which leads me to some questions...

1.) How do I go about installing a switch on the fans to run them when I want to?

2.) Will a 180* T-Stat work without a tuned PCM? No crazy CEL's or anything?


I'm going back next Saturday for another T&T day ($40 and you can run as much as you want) and I am determined to at least sink into the 14's to be competitive against the F-Bodies and the Mustangs.... Who were running Mid 14's all day...

Just did the manual fans in mine...I'm loving it with this heat. Yeah I've got it tuned for them to come on at the lower temp... but its nice to have them come on whenever you want. Took me about 30mins. And the only code it threw in mine, was when I left them on and killed the battery.

Oh and if you do the fans...you might as well grab the tstat too! Seen as you'll be able to control the fans manually to keep the engine cooler.

Well I figured out yesterday I can just jump the terminals under the one relay and they will run. Might just make a jumper with a switch I can install when at the track. They kept f*c*i*g me around when I was staging and thats where I was heating up....

I was getting alot of wheelspin off the line as well. I was the only FWD car there, so I wasnt in the grip....

If I couldve hooked up I wouldve been in sub 2.0 60ft times. My R/T's were some of the best all day. I know I can run faster with what I've got now.....

Esp with the heat I wouldn't say that they where bad times in a stock car.
