I would use krylon fusion black gloss paint and just spray thin light coats

It must be the way its applied, because these cars look perfect. Plus it doesnt look like those tails above that flip posted were buffed or anything.

Just use the krylon fusion gloss black. I have done a couple taillights and they turn out great.

Here is my quad.

Me???

I just scuff the surfice up with that 3M pad thats like a redish brownish. I cant remember the name. lol then I wash it, let dry. Then wipe it down with a rag thats got a little a bit of paint thinner on it. Then make sure its dry and spray light coats of black to you get how dark you want it. Then I got out my paint gun and cleared them. I tinted my friends tail light off his 1g Eclispe. they look black off but show alot of light when the brake lights are on. I was suprised. He has wetsaned then since but hasnt buffed the shine back.
