The trunk lock cylinder is held in by a clip (#15) that is riveted in place. Open trunk lid, locate and drill out rivet, remove clip and lock cylinder. The rubber gasket is GM part number 20030348
Your GM dealer should have one, or they can get it.

^Nope, its easy as pie. Drill out the rivet as stated, and the cover that the rivet is holding to the trunk lids will pull straight down, and then the lock is free to be removed from the trunk lid. It will just be pulled straight out, and there is only one way in and one way out for these parts. Easy to do.

If GM is too much $$$ for the gasket/o-ring part, you can always hit up a junk yard. They would probably just give it to you. Or email ED, www.moradpartscompany.com and they would probably give ya one for the price of a first class stamp. A flat bladed screw driver + hammer on the head of the rivet is a quick way to get a lock out from the junk yard. I have had to get into trunks at junk yards for tail lights etc. no keys, no battery...no problem. Once the lock is out, insert the screw driver into the lock hole, twist, your in.

To reinstall...

you put it together the same way it came apart. You can either use a rivet, or a small self tapping screw with a smooth rounded head.

When I shaved my trunk lock, I had that ugly hole on the inside of my trunk lid, so I made my own carbon fiber black off plate. I have a pic. some where if you want to see it. lol

That trunk lock gasket is $0.48 (MSRP $0.74) at http://www.shopgmparts.com, but of course your best bet is to get it locally and save yourself the shipping costs.
