Hi everyone- This has happened to me about 2 or 3 times now. Within the past few months, I pull out of my driveway and the shift into second feels like it is slipping a bit. That is the only time I have ever noticed it. Any ideas? I have always thought that this car takes a while to shift into second anyways... Just wondering what you guys think.

Thanks,
Jeff

That might be that stupid Pressure Control Solenoid that is failing or has failed. That will cause a sloppy and long shift in to second.

Is there a way of checking this? It has been slow into second since I have owned the car and that is for a few years now. I have had other threads up about it too where sometimes from a stop it will feel like the car is misfiring and holds the 1 to 2 shift even longer than it already does. I complained about it when it was under warranty, but they never found anything.

If it feels like its missing then its the epcc. I just had the one in My 02 gt fail and it would feel like the cars missing and shifting sloppy and sometimes it would shift so had it would tear your head off.

ok, thanks for the reply. So, is there a way of testing this to find out. It doesn't do it all the time, I just worry about the tranny going out.

Thanks guys!

Take the car to the trans shop or gm and have them pull the codes if a code P01811 shows its ugly head then its the epc and i made a typo my bad

I have not yet, I will plan on doing that tonight after work. You are supposed to check it when it is hot correct?
