first question yes but you will need to change the throttle body

second yes but you would need the transmission, PCM, BCM, steering collum, wiring harness, shifter, wiring scematic, wire cutters, soldering gun, patents, and a low expectation

on my grandpa's '11 camaro v6 RS i used tap shift once and never agian and that has 6 gears compared to the GPs 4

It would be cheaper and obviously much easier to just get a 04+ car that already has tapshift and call it a day.

even if they do not look as good it is just not worth it.

tap shift is also a gimick after a week you will probably never use it

Yeah not worth the trouble. Install a shift kit if you don't have one already, you'll like that better and can feel it in the seat of your pants! The crisp gear changes are easier on your clutch's than than the granny pleasing shifts that GM set it up with stock.

Yeah when I do my LS4 swap I have no intention of getting one with Tapshift. Just a regular transmission from the donor vehicle. IIRC most of the LS4 Monte Carlos and Impalas did NOT have tapshift. Which means I have plenty of donors to draw from.
