Yes my 2002 Grand Prix still looks fresh and in style.
Some people even think its a new car. My last
car a 1991 Buick Rivera looked dated with its
chrome spoked wheels and chrome looking grill
and side molding but my 2002 GP. looks current
next to a lot of the new cars out there on
the road. I think its still one of the nicest looking
cars on the road and looks just as good as most
of the new 2011/2012 cars. Why GM let Pontiac
go and kept Buick is a mystery to me.......

Because Buick sells like crazy in China and is a more overall worldwide platform as compared to Pontiac's mostly North American ones (aside from the Holden platforms).

pontiac was only sold in north america like Matt said. buick was a world wide and has better name recagnition over seas then pontiac.

and face it all the pontiacs left where rebages of holdens or chevys with no new body panels only bumpers. the new turbo regal is pretty sweet

I think they look "new" amongst newer cars when they've been modded and have a diff hood, spiler, lip and exhaust tips (minus the special editions, etc). If were talking completely stock SE/GT's and base models then I wouldn't say they look "fresh" or "new" amongst 2011/2012 cars. Even my 2004 feels a bit dated in style even with vast majority of appearance mods.

Ben: Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Same dude from pontiac dude, billy or whatever his name is from grandprix.net. From the way of typing skill. Guess he finally find his way to here.

Oh how was 2002 holding up?

i still would rather pontiac over buick had bad experinces with buicks, but that is obviously a bias and besides my horror with them i'm sure others are doin good, but i do enjoy the styling of all pontiacs more than buicks, seems like up until recently pontiac was the fast younger brother to the more calm collected buick

I'm still waiting on Buick to bring back a Grand National type platform (RWD w/ turbo V6). Doubt I'll ever see it happen with how RWD platforms are rare except for the sports cars but I can dream right?

I was also disappointed when Chevy dropped the Monte Carlo (again) after the 07 model year. I would have rather the newer ones been RWD but at the same time I get compliments for my 01 all the time (which is saying something considering it has a couple major dents on it). Guess the Monte's unique styling didn't have a place among today's generic looking cars where even different makes look similar. But then again, the domestic makes are seemingly in the minority by not having mid-sized coupes (Toyota, Nissan and Honda all have midsize coupes, albeit FWD). Even from 2000-07, the Monte (and the 97-03 GPs) were some of the few cars on the road that could be instantly recognized from a distance because of their uniqueness. Everything else that age or newer looks so similar that you have to get much closer to tell them apart.
