Figured I would give an update on the teardown of the coupe. Got some pics. I still have to take.off the space savers and I am pulling the rear wheel bearings for table projects.

what's sad that driver side rocker has less rust then my cars driver side rocker lol

I will, remember that this thing is stripped out good, no gas, motor, trans body panels door glass window motors, there is very little left. But I was not getting all my profit from just scrap, I have several parts to sell as well as I got the strobe kit ( worth about $250) and if he don't make up his mind real.quick.I am gonna use the trans too

it will still be good for a ball park number

i plan on keeping the engine and trans as well so the cars will be gutted about the same

i really hate to take another one off the road but, there is only so much that can be fixed.


the last coupe i sent out there was noooo saveing it.. the motor runs like hell tho, the trans... not so much.

i ended up cutting the roof off with a sawzall to get what i wanted out of the inside. and to get to the tank.

z3r0 if i went though the trouble of fixing the GTX i would never get my money back ever. i priced it out it would take 2,000 just in parts for all the rust repair then my time to do the work

it is cheaper and makes more sense to just buy a diffrent car

Well I put an end to the saga yesterday. There will be no more parts pulled off got everything as best as what I needed/wanted and am putting this whole thing to rest, quite literaly. Pulled off the spares, threw in most of the tan from the 97 and headed off. Was about 2,100lbs and paid like $230 so that will help pay for another little project in the works.


I had been waiting so the kid that owned both the 99 and.the daytona could have this windshield swapped over, but I told him and told.him and I am done waiting. And if he don't say what he wants done with the trans in about a week it will go in my 97 ( I know it was rebuilt last fall as I hauled it up to be done)
