Consul; the indicator on my shifter consul is stuck above the "park" position. No matter what gear I move the shifter handle to, the orange-red line does not move. My local GM dealer can only sell me the "entire" unit; shifter, indicator control panel, everything for around 350.00. All I'm trying to do is repair-replace the part that shows what gear I'm in when moving the shifter handle. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Might wanna check your BTSI fuse in the panel because my shifter wouldnt even more neither would i see a light and if i did that wouldnt move either so just switch it with another and check it out

I don't even look at the shifter indicator. I can tell what gear it's in when I move the shifter to drive or reverse.
