I played with the idea of getting rockers or a cam.. I don't really want to go through the trouble of installing a cam anytime soon, and figured rockers would be the easier choice? What would you guys recommend for the ratio? Stock is 1.6 correct, and they go up to 1.9 that I see

Yep stock is 1.6. Your best gain would come from the 1.9s and thats what most people use. You could get 1.9 rollers but then you would have to go through the trouble of changing the springs. If you dont mind doin that then rollers would be a good choice because they put less strain on the valvetrain. If not modded stockers are fine and also cheaper aswell.

I've got 1.9s with stock springs with no problem. If you plan on going on to a cam, I'd go with mild rockers so you don't have to spend double to upgrade. With mild rocker you should be able to get a mild cam to match. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Best i remember you can not have an aftermarket cam AND upgraded rockers, its one or the other, not both, regardless of how "mild" of a rocker setup you have. It will cause valve float and tear shit up inside the motor. Someone else can chime in if Im wrong, but that's why people do rockers INSTEAD OF a cam....you still get a decent HP gain with rockers but not nearly the mechanical work required to install them like a cam requires. Otherwise people would just do cam upgrades all the time, which is really the better choice performance-wise, but I understand what you mean about being intimidated by a cam install

Yes you are correct, I had that mixed up. Either cam or rockers.

CAM FTMFW! haha. May take a little more work to install, but to me, there's more bang for the buck

Why buy something sensible with a RWD setup when you can build something really stupid, like this
