Please pm me with your ideas, I have done some searching in some harnesses to find some starter issues. And may be able to give some insight. And am curious as to some of your other parts usages.

you do know that factory push buttons need the key in the ignition right?
i have a friend down here that has his so you just push the button. it's a chevy truck so it's stolen in 1min or less

ya, no. you def need the key in the on position to use it. or else i would be bypassing the entire security system

So why make starting the car a 2 step process? You have to put the key in the "on" position anyway. I'm pretty sure it's a lot easier and quicker to just turn it the slightest bit further to start the car than it is to turn the key and then move your hand to a different place and push a button. It may look cool, but the mechanics of the starting process seem quite rediculous.

Perhaps swap an 04+center console and wire in you ignition button into where the TC button would be on the 04.

Those new vehicles all have a key fob that has to be within so many feet of the vehicle for it to start. If he didn't do it where he needed the key anyone off the street could drive away with his car. What he is doing reminds me of those old cars that were push button start. The key needed to be in the ignition to make the push button work.

I'm still very interested to see how this all comes together.

By the way Alex, that's one NICE Bronco!!

Sell the GP and buy the Bronco!!!!!!! :D :D :D

a buddy of mine has a newer challenger and he just has to get in the car with the fob in his pocket and push the button. (the new vettes are the same way) you. have to be close , but no "key" required.

on a side note i think i am gonna try to circumvent the pass key (at least make it so you dont have to have a chipped key in the ignition.) it will be reversable. but i dont like the thought of needing to buy a $50 key if i want an extra or lose one.
