I was coming home tonight and old rusty ass gti thought he had a chance. From 40 we stepped on it and I pulled but then around 65 he started creeping up. We get to a light and I destroy him off the line I mean as if he wasn't even trying...again about 75 70 here he comes....is something wrong with my car lol? What's the deal. Is it because he weighs 15,000,000,000 lbs less than me?

About 400-500lbs lighter. If it had the VR6 I wouldnt doubt he could keep up at higher speeds. But they have no torque. Or at least mine didnt when I had it.

Not sure actually, but 160hp/166lb-ft in a car that has the weight of a toaster oven is a pretty deadly combo, hence why the MKII 16v were so quick. I think I remember seeing somewhere that a G60 MKII could get to 60 faster than a MKIV VR by about .5 seconds, so that would put it at about 6.3ish with a good driver. The gearing on them sucked though.

Haha, truth. When my MKII is done is should weight in about about a whopping 2000-1950 lbs wet :lol:
But I don't have a G60 or 16valve .... yet :mrgreen: Or say screw both and go VR swap.

OP, if your mods listed in the sig are accurate....then you have stock DP and manifolds?

Get some headers. It should help significantly.
