Im at my grandmas retirement home place visiting and I notice a car under a tarp. I then saw the bottom of the rims and noticed they were torque stars. So I went and peeked under it. And along the bottom it said "official pace car" it was the light blue color had the little insignia. I didn't get to nosey but my grandma says she knows the guy and well go talk to him if I want......I want! !!!! But I feel it might be weird

You sure Z3r0 because im pretty sure the blue ones where the most commen ones the silver where the rare ones. unless im missing something. Were talking about a 97-03 right? I though i heard once 2000 Pace cars made 1800 where blue and 200 where silver. mabe add a zero to those figures. Im not an expert on those cars but im just saying what ive heard. What would be really rare would be a 04+ pace car. =D

Man, it was good memories time. I start watching nascar as first time in 1997 that day Dale Earnhardt flipping and race back to finish line. That's how I start become nascar fan and rooting Dale Earnhardt.

I never miss lot of nascar event. I always see lot of Pontiac Grand Prix Pace cars which they are official pace car for all race events. When Pontiac left nascar as racecar. Nascar ask Pontiac for sticking around as official pace car but Pontiac turn nascar down

Now there are lot of random pace cars like Charger, Camaro, Mustang, Camry or whatever. It was not same as old time.

Yea, the light blue ones aren't that rare, hell there's a couple on the forum. A friend of mine had one until he blew a hole in the block and sold it. Either way, next time your visiting your Grandma and the car is parked, go track the guy down. He would probably love the company and conversation.
