Well. Replaced my LIM gaskets last night, cleaned everything up, standard prodcedure. Got it all buttoned up and ever since then its been running right at 210* or the next 2 lines up. WTF? Its full of coolant, nothing is leaking, anywhere. TStat is operating as it should, when it should, I have an IR thermometer and checked it in hot water. I just CANNOT figure this out, the fans wont kick on either.

It never ran this hot before, EVER. Before replacement it ran around 185-190*.....

I cracked the bleeder open when I filled it up. I broke my thermostat housing tonight so I have to wait till tomorrow to get another. I'm just gonna replace the thermostat while I'm there. Gonna go with a 180*, CEL or not. Hopefully this fixes it, otherwise I'm just gonna cut my losses and sell it. I don't have a whole mess of money to put into it at this point.

you do know 210 is the factory fan turn on speed right with a factory 195* t-stat 210* is about where they run.

but it is weid that is now runs warmer then it use to. also a 180* should not throw a code. a 160* will though the GTX had a 160 drilled wheni bought it and i put in a 180* not drilled no light with the 180*

I have a 180 on the 97 and never throw a code, even in the middle of winter.

I also put in a new temp sensor I've had for ages just for gits and shiggles. Maybe it always has ran this hot, and the old sensor just wasn't reading right? Maybe I'm just being overly paranoid. Idk. I'm gonna do ny routine here later today and if its no better its getting posted up for sale. I need more room for the family anyways...

New thermostat housing is on, as well as the 180* stat. Seems to run at a more nominal temperature. I'm seriously convinced the old temp sensor was reading off. Now with the new one it reads temp faster than before. Seems like all is well. Now to just figure out why my aftermarket boost gauge isn't working....
