ok, first of all... how many people here are interested and are willing to spend some money... at least $150ish just for the service and painting. 2- I need some pictures of the projector head lights close up where the lens meets with the head light to see if I can really separate them.

I have heard bad things about seperating these projectors. I was going to attempt it myself to install CCFL halos but after reading up about the difficulties, you might want to buy a set to experiment with first to see if its viable

My suggestions for mods:

CCFL halos (9 bucks each on ebay)(the led ones that come with them are a joke)

Removal of the amber reflector

Color match the insides using correct colormatch paint (I suggest paintscratch.com 17.95 per can)

PEL chip guard installation (20 bucks for enough to do 2 lights. I suggest this because there are no headlight covers made that will fit the projector bubble. can also get this in smoked to act like a tint of sorts without actually killing the light output that much)

Bounce mod (many ways to do it, find one that works, lol)

If all those mods were done, I would gladly pay 350 again for a set

Maybe what I should do is get the stock head light and modify it with the projectors instead.

I tried to take one of mine apart. The glue is a lot harder, and the plastic housing is a lot more brittle than the OEM headlights. Sorry, but I don't have any good pics of the mating surface right now.

If I were take them apart, I would hand lay in some carbon fiber for my back ground in the light set.

Just me though.
