The Road Not Taken...with a Grand Prix? You know, that old Robert Frost poem?

the chirstmas one....

hold on.....

Twas the night before Christmas and caught at the light,
was a Pontiac GTP and no cops in sight,

I will try, I will try, I will try with this small motor,
To beat this black Grand Prix, even with it's Eaton blower,

As the light goes green and I pull like no joke,
The GTP next to me erupts in clouds of front tire smoke,

Now Smasher, now Revver, now Stroker, now Blitzin,
These are the names of my four VTEC pistons,

Racing ahead I'm the star of the action,
But I know I'm in trouble when that supercharged V6 gets traction,

Grabbing second, I hear the RPM sing,
My rear view mirror is blocked by my three foot wing,

I now hear the roar, of that supercharged V6 gaining,
It is all I can do to keep this four-banger straining,

In a second, the shockwave hits with a blast,
And my stickers go flying now, all things of the past,

Don't bother with third, cause now it's too late,
Just try to act cool, like you can relate,

Looking up at the taillights as they got smaller,
The driver backs off just long enough to give me a holler,

"You can't win them all," he says waving,
"You may not win any at all in that silly little thing"

I smile and revved my four banger as he pulled out of sight,
With my new mods tomorrow... I'm sure it will be a better night

I've never even heard of the website she's quoting from. These stats are supposedly from CR? They seem made up to me. As for transmission reliability I got 180K on my 2000 GP's tranny. Engine and tranny both are reliable in the GP. Another website geared to make Japanese cars look great. Pretty hard to track their reliability because they're all leases!

I've never had a GP tranny go out on me, my GT had 245,000 mi before I sold it and I was thinking the transmission was going, but the current owner is having no problems with it. Now my GTP has 126,000 mi with no signs of transmission issues. My GT also never had any engine work done, just the windshield washer fluid pump and power steering at 200k, and some body work when my dad hit a dear

But I've definitely heard horror stories of our imperfect transmissions
