You want an honest opinion or a nice one? :P

Honest:
I think you should take those HIDs out of your reflector housings and retrofit some projectors into them, or at least buy the halogen projectors and put HIDs in them. Reflector housings are designed to reflect light from a bulb that has a filament in one specific place (hence why bulbs are indexed to only fit one way). HID "tubes" use an arc of electricity to emit light instead of a glowing filament, and that arc is not placed in the same spot as the filament in a halogen bulb, and therefore doesn't reflect properly. The same concept applies with the halogen projects except that there is at least a cutoff on them. You may not think that the glare bothers other drivers, but I assure you that it does.

Otherwise:
Car looks good based on what I can see. Feel free to post more pictures!

You were doing so well with your "science" until you said bulb instead of tube. Trololololo

But yes, I completely agree with Kyle's both points of view.

Agreed. Looks great tbh but a menace to on coming traffic. That's why cutoffs are so important hence using projector lenses...

Metal polish and elbow grease should do the trick unless you have aluminum corrosion/oxidation going on.

What's the best way to protect them? Just a few good coats of wax?

Wax is the best bet. Some companies (the names slip my mind right now) specifically make wheel wax/paste.

Try this stuff, truck drivers use it on their rigs after they polish the aluminum accessories to seal the surface and help stop oxidation.
