Went to start my car, got nothing. Engine doesn't turn over, there's a fairly audible click noise coming from the engine bay when I try to start it. I have power, everything lights up, just no starting. Do I need to hoof it to Autozone?

check battery first, it can to the same thing (have just enough to turn the stuff on but not enough to crank. so i say jump it and see what it does. if the same thing then check your connections on the starter and battery and try again. if still not, then you may need a starter. but try to eliminate the free things first.

And 2 days later I finally got a jump and it was the battery. The Autozone up the street from me checked the alternator for free just to make sure that didn't need replacing. You definitely saved me about $200.
