Has anyone tried any of the apps that the iphone or similar smartphones offers? They have some free ones that seem like they would work well to give you information and tell you codes if you have any that pop up, (even tho you can do that for free at autozone). I was wondering if anyone knew of any however, that could scan for Knock Retard? Let me know. Thanks

I don't know if it would scan for KR, but my friend has one on his Mazda, and it's pretty badass.. Gives a lot of information.

I have considered getting one. The app is free, but you still have to pay for the cable that goes from the iPhone to the OBDII port.

There's no cable.. but yeah. It's blutooth. For my truck anyway, it's around $115 for the part.

That's less than I thought. I have seriously considered getting cylay for an IPod on top of that app. Could leave the iPod in the vehicle. Not only could you use everything for scanning, but it also pts a GPS in your car.

I have the kiwi wifi and the plx program for pc. Rev by dev toaster on my ipod and iphone...
does a pretty good job of scanning and reseting mil lights...i basically use mine as a 2nd dashboard (my temp gauge acts way off, so i use the one off the obd for that, and the rest are just random figures)
