Okay, so this guy I know just bought a ZZP 3" dp and showed me his current stock dp at what shape its in on a 98" gtp

ZZP dp he got: Image

His stock dp http://scott001.googlepages.com/fused_flange.jpg

Instead of paying a shop to take that off..is there anything he could use himself like a grinder or dremel?

Pb Blaster and a large breaker bar will break those bolts loose. Otherwise just cut them out.

Might as well just break cut that. It doesnt look like any PB Blaster or anything will help that out!

i would cut the bolts off and drill them out. or, cut the dp right after that flange and then pull the rear mani out to have easier ability to the bolts out.

Hey, I am the person the OP is talking about. Here is another picture further back with a different camera setting: http://scott001.googlepages.com/u_bend.jpg

Are you really trying to say this bolt will actually turn?? I would really love to save money from the shop but I don't see this thing turning, It doesn't even look like a remote possibility it will turn before snapping.

Mine looked like that. Just went under with Pb blaster and a large breaker bar and the rust broke loose and they came out fine.

What kind of bit should I pick up incase I need to resort to this? Think I might attempt it then if I fail limp to the shop, lol!

The 2 critical tools I dont have for this type of job is an IR and high temp torch (oxy).

Yeah, on the Volvo, I had no troubles with anything, and the bolts looked worse than that...
