well lately ive been having issues when i put the car in park and go to turn it off the ignition (or key) wont turn all the way to the off position, any one had this issue and any help would be great..thanks

There's a manual release button in the steering column. Pop off the round cap in the lower column cover, and use a pen to push the button.

its happened a lot over the last several days and all i did was turn the key back and forth a few times and it would go into the off position. does the button or what ever it is get stuck ? can i take the column apart and lube something or is it more difficult then that ?...thanks

Ignition switch can go bad, causing that, I believe. It's just the switch, not the whole key and lock assembly, if I remember.

There are two solenoids that can go bad, the one in the steering column and the one in the shifter assembly. Regarding the one in the column, I've seen people rig the button in the up position with a zip tie or JB Weld it so the key comes out. Or you can remove the solenoid altogether: Key stuck in ignition lock cylinder (see Abrasive's "fix" :mrgreen: )

Also, sometimes the wiring at the shifter breaks, and blows the BTSI fuse (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock) and the shift indicator light goes out, leaving the shifter stuck in Park, so you may want to check that as well.
