Today i get a random mail from GM open it up and its recall for spark plugs is there more to it or they just change spark plugs lol :P it would be nice if they did more ? anything else i can squezze out this offer ? NO CHARGE

The only recall notice they sent me was for replacing the plastic spark plug retention channel with two new spark plug wire retainers free of charge. Thanks but no thanks! :razz:

You get some schweet plastic clips for your wires haha. No new wires or plugs, sorry. Not even worth taking it in and wasting your time for a $.50 part which doesn't even fix the actual problem.

They reprogrammed the TPMS system on my car because of a recall notice and now it goes off when the tires get below 32 pounds. Well that's right around what I run the tire pressure at, so I bumped it up a bit and it usually greets me on these cold mornings until the tires get warmed up. It isn't likely a tire is gonna get damaged at 32 psi so I don't know WTF they are thinking on that.

I've been running 32 psi for 30+ years and never had a tire fail. The new standard must be from the Ford Explorer rollover disaster.

Yeah, I've always run 32 on the 97 and the 04 and I thought that's around the PSI most manufacturers recommended for passenger cars roughly this big. Anything more than 35 when warm on cars like these, or just about anything that's not huge and/or used for hauling, seems like overkill to me. Curious if MPG ratings have anything to play in this.

I'm sure low profile tires have something to do with it. Years ago all they had were 70's and 60's and now they come with 45's and lower profile.

no idea my lebaron is a 92 way before the exploder fiasco and the door sticker says recomended tire pressure is 35psi

the mercs is 38psi and that is also before the exploder

the GP is 35

I just checked the G8 owners manual and it says 36 psi up to 573 pounds and 36 front/39 rear up to 917 pounds. I have no clue what it should be over that weight....
