Although this may sound simple, try messing around with the connection to make sure you have them connected properly. Other than that, I don't know what it can be. I haven't had any problems with mine, but then again I don't have Xentec (although that shouldn't matter).

Did you get the slim ballasts or the normal size ones? Did relays come with the kit?

i emailed the people i got them from and they said this

One of the most common problem that with installing an hid in a vehicle is that one side will work and one side will tent to flicker and shut off or don't turn on at all. The cause of this problem is, during the ignition, the each ballast will require about 12 +/- 2 amps amps, and depending the wiring configuration and the gauge of the wire of the vehicle, one ballast might exhaust all the power causing the other ballast not able to draw enough amperage it requires to start, therefore that light will not turn on. American trucks are more likely to have this problem. The solution to this problem is to install a relay harness kit, and fetch the power directly from the battery independently using the battery. We have the relay harness kit for $25 shipped (Domestic buyer) and $60 for international buyer shipped with Fedex express,

Hmm that sounds about right, if it isn't how you have them connected. So really they're just gettin' you for more money. IMO, I'd ask to send them back as you are not satisfied and see if you can get a refund, check out the link I posted, and pick up some HID's for $39/shipped a pair, with a one year warranty, and you won't need a relay harness kit.

Yeah, good luck trying to get the harness for free. But hey, the least they can say is no, right?

during the day I can understand because of the DRL relay.

IMO the harnesses dont do shit with the drls because I used one on my 06 GP and still had the issue.

As for happening at night, I would unplug the connections and make sure there is no dust or anything else possibly creating a shitty connection, and also make sure you have a nice ground and positive hookup...

if they flicker at night then pulling the DRL will not get you anywhere
DRL are disabled the second it gets dark outside... if they are flickering at night... you need the harness... i had similar problem in my 03 GTP, got the harness, it had me covered for 3 years without flickering..
