So I never drive with the AC on, but it got hot as balls this week so I made an exception. Getting on the freeway and getting up to speed I notice the engine rev sounds different. As my brother put it, it sounds like I'm driving a Decepticon. I'm gonna try and get some video of it but does anyone have any idea if this is incredibly abnormal?

you could be low on freon. Its not really good to never use the ac if you know it works. gotta keep stuff circulating. Seals soft etc. As far as the engine noise when the compressor is on the fans should be on. Could be that. Could be the system is low putting a big drag on the engine. Could be a lot of things.

Mines doing the same thing. I dont think the clutch is working right you put a gauge on it. It'll bury the gauge. Think a sensor maybe im not for sure though.
