ive never really had to "store" a car for winter so im just figuring out what all i need to do so when i take the car out of storage it will start up ok.

I've seen people do it both ways... take it out and charge indoors, or leave it in the car (garage). Probably wiser to take it indoors if you're leaving the car outside in the elements.

car is in a garage under a dust cover. i have a heater in the garage too, keeps it at a constant 52*

lol pat im tired of re setting everything every time i unplug the battery. i just bought a maintainer from walmart, charges the battery then goes into maintain mode at full charge. i will start the car at every other week, at the very least once a month. of course with the charger unplugged lol.

I let my new battery sit in my car for three weeks when I stored it this winter and Killed the battery should of bought a maintainer or unplugged it. I think my amp drains power somehow

Just a suggestion, you could try using one of those memory savers: http://www.amazon.com/Kastar-294A-Compu ... 194&sr=1-4

I usually try to start the car every other week if possible, but I also have a charger to keep the battery happy.
