well i just cant hold my self in. some of you may recognize it as one that i had done some work to a little while back. after she first found it had issues she parked it and it has been sitting for about 2 1/2 years before i got it fixed for her. she thought she wanted to drive it again but found that she just didnt feel it like she used to, and was talking about selling it and offered me a good price on it that i just couldnt say no too being as nice a car it is. it has like 5k on the tires, reman ps pump (i just put on) new mufflers just before it was parked, and a few other things i cant think of. besides the wife is crazy about it and this car alone has turned her mind on gp's (despite the severl that i have/had) so this will be her "winter beater"? (feels very odd to talk about a car this nice like that. (also makes me want to keep the green car for a winter beater for the winter beater. lol ) like i said as it has been sitting for some time it needs some funk busting that i will start on tuesday wash, clay, wax, vac, ect. here are some till i can do some before and after clean pics..

turbo would be instant tranny death for that car. it was never built with turbo in mind it's only for around 300-350 whp

even if it made less then that the shock the turbo puts on the chian drive would kill it as it still has the gemini chain set in it as they seem to fail less then the 15/16 ets and 7/8 sets

when i built the trans i do wish i got the stonger output shaft but for how i drove the car it was not nessisary never saw the track enough with sticky tires. and the pump shaft at the time they where sold out at zzp

Ok so I have some more pics that I took today be fore and after I got it cleaned up. Will need some more claybar work, there are little spots and some pine sap that are gonna take a bit more work, but I think it looked and shines much better now.

As for turbo, not gonna happen. I have much better things to play with than putting turbo on my summer dd. And no kyle this is not my dd. This will be her dd and she will have her camaro as a summer toy. ( even more of a toy once I get the 305 replaced with 350? Posi and gears)

The 01 will be fine as a basic xp'd setup for summer dd duties ( will probly last longer if I leave it alone too.) I have my winter dd and have my duelly to haul, and it will be time to start work on my jeep again ( 68 wagoneer, 455 pontiac, one ton axels 38's) then on to my 72 lemans.

If I need more performance I am sure I could talk my dad into letting me do up his 75 t/a, and if I feel the need for a cruiser I will talk him into the 64 Bonnie. Convertible.

She loves this 40th and has givin me the green on a couple little mods like headlights and tints , but she really don't want me messing with performance much. ( allthough it will get atleast a dp/u-bent/cat delete and pcm) but she mainly wants to just drive it and enjoy it for what it is, not what it could become. Lol..
