MY fob doesn't work anymore, my light that flashes for the alarm is above the headlight switch, when I replaced the ignition switch, a couple monthes ago, the light would continuouisly flash, while driving idleing whatever, b4 i replaced ignition it only flashed when alarm was set, thought I had the wires that were spliced into the ignition wires were wrong so I switched them and then the light just stopped flashing and so did the fob key and alram. don't know if I burnt the alarm system or what, it's an auto mate model. do you know if it runs off the starter relay? Or a different relay.

have a model number or any thing? there are many diffrent ways to hook up an alarm

did you buy the car with the alarm already installed?

Yes it was used, and I don't think its' the factory alarm as the box just drops down out from under dash, it was tucked away but i pulled it out. lot of loose wire's, but every thing did work b4 I replaced starter switch. I think I burnt the system up when I swaped wires around to see if continuously flashing alarm led would stop. I was wondering if the relay on the switch wires ran both the starter and the alarm system and just the alarm system malfunctioned, I took relay to orielies, but they could not find a match. tried universal 30 amp relay that would plug in, but car would not start, so put old one back in.
