Just installed the 1.9 rockers and the CAR wont START turns over hard! We did NOT install the 105 springs..Everything is hooked up correct and seems to be the way it should be. We torqued the bolts on the rockers to 20 lbs and car does not fire! any ideas CAR is down and would like it ASAP
heres a vid of it turning over supercharger belt off!

well its a little late now but i hope you have a good air compressor and an adapter to go from that hose to the spark plug hole in the block...

and make sure you clean out the rocker bolt holes good before re-torquing them.

I would start with electrical. Did you disconnect any of the injectors? Go over your plug wires also.

hmm ok.. i was gonna ask if you remembered to put them back in, but if you never took them out..

did you prime the fuel system before trying to crank the car.

also did you change the oil afterwards.

no i dont think its electrical. if youve got power and the car cranks like it does its not electrical.

unless its your coil packs...did you take those off? they have to be installed a certain way.

6/3
2/5
4/1

if you put them on any other way and match the correct plug wires to the corressponding # on the coil pack, your car wont start because the coilpacks will be acting as the one that SHOULD be in its place and then all the wires are actually mis-matched.

(also know this by experience)

i just took the bracket off not the coil itself. It was 1 am last night when we tried starting it and we glanced at some stuff but by not putting the correct pedistals in could that have done it? I thought i did put them in but maybe i over looked them

im not sure, are you using modded stockers?

my roller rockers came with different pedistals.

but im guessing the modded pedistals are essitial to the modded rockers.

Go back to the basics. It takes three things to make a motor work. Air, fuel, and spark. Your not getting one of them.

Takes compression, too. If the valves are hanging open due to the pedastal being wrong, he could have all three, and it not run.

If you checked over everything you did and found nothing wrong, especially crossed plug wires. Then hotrodolds is probably correct. Your valves are probably hanging open.

Do you have a strong fuel smell coming from the exhaust?

What I'd be concerned about is if it is turning over hard, either bent valves, or a rocker hitting the valve cover, too.

Oh god, that could end in disaster. Hopefully, it's the pedistals and you can change them without incident.

Did you change anything other than the Rockers?
