Would a 2001 grand prix gt 4-door beat my 2004 grand prix gt? I'm just wondering because i beat one last night but he had two more passengers. If he didn't have those two other people do you think he could beat me. I beat him by about 2 lenghts. Both cars are stock.

Did the 2004 GT's come with Superchargers? I don't remember. If it did come with a Supercharger wouldn't it take the 01 without any problem?

No in 04 the GT was the base model. GTP's are the supercharged.

In the 2006 & up the GT was supercharged and they dropped the GTP and the Comp G models.

"GT" was the supercharged model from 06-08 iirc. Although, the 04+ base model and non-CompG GTPs had 3.08 gearing while the 97-03 GPs had 2.93 gears...not too big of a dfference and I remember people complaining that their 04+ GP was slower than previous gen GPs...could just be a driver's race really, just a matter of who's quicker on the light. I know 04+ GPs are a lil heavier than 97-03 GPs, also

Honestly, stock to stock, it would depend on the care taken to each car IMO.

well going with stock numbers the 2001 GT should be about 200 HP @ 5,200 rpm with 225 ft lb of torque weighing 3373lbs(sedan) or 3386.3(coupe) while your '04 has 200 HP @ 5,200 rpm with 230 ft lb torque weighing 3,477lbs so if both were unmodded it should be a really close race actually

You know yall talk about these cars being slow i dont find these things slow at all even in base form. I get 7.5 0-60 balls out and my dads chrysler 300m 1999 only does 9 to 60. I consider anything under 8 is respectable.

I test drove a GXP gp today and it just puts my cars to shame lol. HUGE difference. Makes me wonder what it would be like to drive a Viper with 600hp? I promise i will know before i die (sorry for the thread jack)
