I've heard this is way more efficient and less costly than a supercharger, but I need to know, what all do I need to do this? Down to every last bolt?

I would say that it is easier than adding a supercharger along with heads to your car, but not cheaper.

I would suggest buying a new kit if your looking for something 100% complete.

Things needed for a 2004+ N/A

Turbocharger
Turbo Downpipe
Tog Downpipe
42lbs or 60 lbs injectors
LT1 MAF
Wastegate setup
Boost Controller
Tune

Things I think you should be running...

Intercooler
BOV
Cutout
Wideband
Boost Gauge

Not rocket science and the kits you get out there are pretty much complete. After going with the ZZP Z3 kit on mine they added all of the option drop down menus for the things you would need on a L26. The questions I had were answered by Turbo Tim or Matt @ Stattma within an hour or so and I would do it all over from them again. PM me with any specific questions. Also, expect to drop at least 4K for everything you need for a moderate turbo setup like mine with all the extras

End Results...
Walking away from a lot of Fbodys

You can buy used for 2k to 2.5k, but it most likely need some odds and ends for the 2004+

It is more money but there is more options for power. Also the L26 has higher compression so you would benefit more from a turbo.

its a lot easier to turbo, but much more costly in my opinion. Especially for a new turbo kit, as Vic stated. But a turbo will easily put you over the 300whp mark. Which also means costly transmission problems, unless you wanna buy costly transmission upgrades to handle that kind of power. Im sure a stock trans can hold up to the power of a turbo, but for how long is the question. Then again, when you get into supercharging your GP if you wanna drop pulley sizes and get more boost and HP you gotta buy supporting mods....it all just depends on how you wanna spend your money. I think what these guys are trying to say is that you could spend close to or the same amount of money trying to get a supercharger to make just some of the power that a used turbo kit is capable of making easily

I am looking forward to blowing it so I can order one from Triple Edge, but hopefully that will be next year. :)

lol, never heard anyone say they actually look forward to blowing their tranny up. looks like we got ourselves a high roller, folks......$$$$$ There is a GMR Torsen Diff and GMR 1" chain in the for sale section of ClubDrama, Vic; each for around $1200...you could just buy those and spend the same amount as you would if you were to buy a 3EP trans. just a thought ;-)

LOL

Not saying I am looking to spending the cash, but I am surely looking forward to not needing to worry about breaking. I guess you can say I am not that worried now as I have been flogging on it hard, but it is always in the back of my mind.

I hope to see triple edge come out with a gear set like he has on his website, as I am not paying out the insane price for the 1" GM part. Also just plan to run the HD Diff, as many people have made a lot more power than me with the HD part.

I'm planning on getting turbo + tranny together. Mostly throwing money at a CD savings account when I build up the money... all 6 or 7K of it

Hmmm. Well, since I can't speak of my mileage  I should ask.

What would a decent high performance tranny cost? Something that will bolt up that I wont need to replace any part of my motor?
Because I will be needing that pretty soon.

TEP - Triple Edge Performance, High Performance/Race trans start at $1700 which is a great deal, plus Dave is one of the best for the 4t65e.
