Either that or you can buy parts yourself and follow this writeup

That's really steap IMO. Check over at CGP. I've seen full kits go for $500

x2. in a period of a month, i collected all the parts i needed for a top swap for about $600. I had everything minus the LIM and supercharger and that was only like $400. was gonna pay about $200 for a blower and supercharger.

i ended up not doing the swap in the end

if you had the money to spend $1200, i would save and invest in a turbo. much bigger hp gains that way

Yeah, but it is debatable on which method of forced induction sounds better.

Keep in mind it requires a built trans to run a turbo setup effectively. I've seen top swaps on a stock GT trans

1200!?!? That's insane. Find the parts on a forum for 5 or 6 hundred.
I got mine for 300, but that was a sick deal.

I bought a L67 minus the blower and fuel rails for 200, then bought the blower, TB, fuel rails, PCM for 150. For 350 bucks I have a full L67. Keep searching, there's deals out there.

I found a GenV with 70K miles on it(rotors and coating are near perfect still) from LKQ for $300 and am in touch with a member on GPONA willing to sell me the L32 heads,LIM,fuel rails, and injectors all for a lil more than $200 shipped. Keep looking, don't settle for being overcharged

Just wondering since this would be a question on the top swap - on the Series 3 (L26) 3800, do you have to change the L26 heads to L32/L67 or can you use the ZZP LIM instead so you dont have to switch the heads? I know this has to be done due to the fuel injectors are located on the heads on the S/C and LIM on the N/A.

ZZP LIM

There information has one for a gen V so it may work, but I will call and check, this would make the top swap easier.

Information Gen III and Gen V available per there web site information:
