I've been looking around to see if anyone had a 3/4" or even a 1/2", but even after e-mailing ZZP, I still got no luck. I mean, I understand why a TBS is completely necessary for a supercharged car, as the heat around the TB is much hotter. But I drive an 05 base GP with a CAI and the Throttle Body is STILL almost as hot as the crossover. Unless there is a significant reason that one should NOT place a TBS on their L26, then I say we all e-mail the hell out of companies to get this thing made.

TBS = WASTE OF MONEY on any 3800 engine, S/C or not, unless you are tapping it for nitrous. I've explained why it's worthless before on this site. Air is only in contact with the TB for a millisecond and that's hardly enough to create a big temperature transfer into the incoming air. The TB is going to be hot regardless due to radiant heat from the crossover and everything else in the engine bay, so even if you were to isolate it from the heat transfer coming from the UIM, it's still going to be hot anyway. And even at that, TB spacers are metal so you'll still have metal to metal heat transfer.
Save your money and buy mods that actually do something.

Here it is.

Same goes for a TB "heat shield." Both wastes of money. If you want to cool things off get a 180* thermostat and change the fan turn on points so at least the engine is slightly cooler. You could also take off the hoodliner during summer months to help keep the entire bay a little cooler.
