Anyone care to shed some light on the subject for me? Just installed a new a/c compressor in my SE last week after the last one went out. Had it recharged and went to turn it on and nothing but hot air. Thought maybe a bad compressor so I whipped out my volt meter and it's not getting any power at all. Checked the fuses and they're all good. Not sure it maybe there's a bad ground or something?

Why buy something sensible with a RWD setup when you can build something really stupid, like this

Could be a bad switch or a bad relay. Could be a bad pressure switch...

Then you're gonna have to look at wiring, or a bad BCM.

It's not a leaking issue, it's not getting power to the compressor

Problem is, there are a bunch of reasons that could happen. Let's say you had leaked the freon out, the pressure switch would not command power to the compressor. If a shop recharged it, they would have known if the system was leaking when they did it. I would still say a pressure switch.

Forgive my ignorance, but where would that be located?
