I'm getting a L32 from Ed M!! 1000 miles on the motor. Is this a hard swap for my gt? What else would I need for the swap? Going to stay with the intercooled turbo set up. Heads and cam next spring!!

It should actually be quite easy. I believe that you can use the the L36 intake in the L32. It will actually be quite simple. Feel free to drop me a note if you need help. I may be able to go down there and help with it.

Good to see you over here, Bro!

Should be a direct swap once you swap the UIM with TB.

why would you NOT want to do it?

hes going from the n/a series III 3800 to the blown series III 3800 with a gen 5 m90 thats much more efficient than the gen 3 m90 on our cars.

Ooops, I was following the posts before mine and thought it was a L26.

There's more involved now.

TB adapter/TB/in-line maf needed
EVAP gets blocked off on the gen v and you use your stock evap, or remove it
MAP sensor from a L67 is still needed
Put a breather on the valve cover since the PCV will be blocked by the TB adapter. I THINK you can just run a hose from the rear port of the gen v to the TB adapter but don't quote me on that without reading some more
If not using L67 injectors you'll need to modify your injector tables in the PCM and solder on new injector adapters

thats all i can think of right now

I have a turbo set up! The gen v will have to go. I love the gen v, but the top end of a turbo 3800 is very fun. Just keeps pulling!!!!

Joe, you want to buy my l36 from me? It will have everything that came with it stock. I'm leaving the 1.9 rockers in it also. Going with a stage 2 turbo cam! Now back on topic. Any pics or tips for the swap? Can I leave the tranny in the car?

It is very fun! My next plate is going to say"JUSTAGT".
Or "V68URV8".

Ok guys, any tips or write ups? I'm taking the turbo set up off this weekend. Selling it to Dredg from WI. Getting a zzp z7 kit with 62-1 and the big oversized ebay intercooler. Stage 2 turbo cam is on order!! Should be here in a few days.

You're actually in for a lot of swapping, but the turbo makes it easier up top.

The current engine front needs swapped over so it's only 1 belt still. Then the entire current engine top gets put on the L32. All electronics get hooked up like they are now.

I'll come down and help you if you will tune my car for me! I just need to fix my axle now, and my car will be done.

Whats so better about the L32 compared to the L67? Would putting in a L32 from a L36 (1999 GT) be as easy as swapping in a L67? If you planned to leave the new motor stock as you were putting it in..

O, would you be able to leave the stock tranny in for an L32?

Fred is turboed. This L32 has FAR less miles than his L36. IDK what he's gonna gain from this, but why not right?

The L32 has a stronger rotating assembly, correct? BAM good news for turbo.
