I put the 180* stat in and it runs so much cooler. Should I get me some headers? or stick to little bolt ons piece by piece....?

you can get away w/ ported rear and a plog up front if you are only staying n/a

headers in you want to do a top swap or turbo than go headers

than you could decide on rockers or a cam

and an ebay wai would work for ya

I know the feeling, being broke. But I would start with a downpipe with a high flow cat, and a PCM. There is a write up somewhere on how to make yourself a fenderwell intake for $40, that actually looks good. That won't make you really fast, but it will give your car a little more pep.

Here's what you want to do for the best HP/buck ratio:

1) CAI - $200 or $40 @ home depot
2) 3" catless DP (If you can get away with no cat) $150
3) Get on some 91 octane
4) Shift kit $20
5) Tune tune and tune some more $300


Total~ $400-$600

Those are the biggest, easiest, bang for your buck right there........You should gain a decent 20hp if you tune correctly

I think I have all my mods in my sig, and I'll give a stock GTP a run for it's money anyday of the week.....This should satisfy your needs for a while ........Not to mention a pretty nice sound under the hood

Or you could be like me, throw a airaid TB spacer in (Had laughing gas), and make people think you've got a blower :-D

Although gold dust is precious, when it gets in your eyes, it obstructs your vision.

I dont have alot of money to spend but I just keep adding a little at a time like I got a CAI from Thrasher Performance, SLP High Flo-cat, 180 T, 85 MM TB w/spacer, and yea gives my car some pep for sure and didnt cost me alot.

Top swap would get you the biggest back for your buck. I did mine for a total coast of $800 including gaskets and fluids. If you stay N/A your going to want a 2.5" downpipe as the 3" will drop off some of your low end power because of how well it flows. Tune as much as you can. Tuning can make more power than your think. PEMs or powerlog would also help out alot. If you do a top swap you want to make sure you have the PEM's and powerlog.

well since headers can be had for under 300 bucks now, i woudl say headers, because a downpiep is half that, and you dot want to touch that rear manifold unless its for headers.

all ive done is to my car is

make my own cold air intake = $45
flowmaster muffler and straight piped with installation = $150

and ive gained about 25hp which isnt bad for under $200

2JZGTE outperforms the RB by lengths

Make an Intake.
Get an off the shelf tune.
Get an exhaust.
You can get headers on an N/A car just make sure you have smaller primaries.
If you want to stay N/A do some 1.9 rockers or a GT cam.

Boost is the way save up for your end goal.
