So now that I have to take the heads off I want to deck them, whats the max I can go and can I still keep the stock valvetrain for now. It seems like everytime I'm gonna put the turbo on something else goes wrong.

are you sure it is the head gasket, because the plastic intake has an egr tube running through it that melts a cooling passage which will suck coolant into the engine

To answer the milling of heads question. I believe it's recommended to take no more than .020 off the heads, if you want more than that you need to deck the block instead and will need custom pushrods. I had my heads milled .010 and I'm using .052" Cometic MLS Head gaskets to get to the .020 limit.

I intend to run a .052" HG, and knock .025" off the heads, maybe .030". A stock lifter will take this, with no change in pushrod length. Turbo Tim from ZZP sent me a long email explaining it all.

Hmmm...I was told that anything over .020 should really be checked for push rod length. Oh well, I already had mine done, but I may have them milled and ported a little more next winter.
