i plan on doing the hv3 this summer along with a couple other things like headers, exhaust and tune and was wondering how much of a difference it has made for you guys who have done it? is it noticeable right away with doing just that or do you have to do a few other things to really notice it? thanks

Based off the other threads, the HV3 can make a difference. The best advice i've seen given was to plan what your ultimate goal is with your car (topswap/turbo/n/a) and base your mods off of that. Headers allegedly will make you lose lowend power, so i'd do a little research. Search these forums, theres plenty of information to be peiced together. I've been contemplating doing the same thing myself.

HV3, headers, intake and a tune will make a big difference for your n/a 3800. Rockers or a cam are about the only other things you can to get more power without going forced induction.

Anyone know for certain if the HV3 will work for certain in the L26? I'm hearing mixed thoughts on this.

It will work I think there is a little trimming involved to make it fit though.

You only have to trim it if you get one that came off a 97-03 L36. ZZP now has the option of either the L36 or L26. Either way you will like it. I have it and feel the difference when I compare it to my brothers stock 03 GT.

It's a piece of cake to install though. Depressurizing the fuel rail is the hardest part and that just involves waiting a day or pulling a fuse.

You can depressurize through the schrader valve on the fuel rail.

That would work. So 3 ways to do it.
Other than that the install is a piece of cake.

Edit: None of you saw anything

Yeah they do. My bad. As soon as I posted that I remember the mental image of the black cap sitting on the driver's side. Phantom edit time

I'd like to try one of these out on my girlfriends car, but then that would lead me me/her wanting even more power and my wallat can't support that ;-)
